Lisa Thauvette, founder of Tilt Think Coaching, is a Montessori educator (for over two decades) and comedic improviser (for over one decade) who views leadership, education, and improvisation as three heads to the same beast. All three involve being present, curious, and playful. Lisa uses improvisation theory to support team and individual development through storytelling, movement, integrated topics, and empathetic care of self and community. Lisa served as the Head of School at International Montessori in Brussels, Belgium for 11 years, and holds an AMI 6 - 12 diploma and a Masters of Education in Montessori from Loyola College. She has been improvising professionally for the past 10 years. Currently, Lisa coaches, consults, and delivers professional development trainings to leaders, innovators, educators and those generally curious about improv.

Lisa serves on two Traverse City area boards: the National Writers Series, a year-round book festival, and the Traverse Children’s House, an independent Montessori school for children from infancy through 8th grade. ​ Reach out if you'd like to learn more!
